Thank you. The place is bang on our Northern border. The month is Dec 1962. The height at which we three are standing is 13000 feet. Bomdila has recently fallen and we are expecting the Chinese to attack us next. Harendra and I are deployed with our units here and we are standing in Harendra's unit area. Suku has come up from the plains to our high altitude defences on a familiarisation mission. I am on the left, Suku in the centre and Harendra on the right. Suku had to go back the next day so we had a great get-together in my bunker that night.

After Suku passed away, I opened up my old trunks, retrieved an equally old album and this photo. The three of us had spent a lot of time in the Army and memories came flooding back.Vijaya suggested that
